I have worked with DaDa since 2001 and was honoured to create a brand and festival marketing assets for DaDaFest International 2024 which marked 40 years of DaDa as an organisation.
The festival theme was ‘Rage’ and they wanted to reflect that “out of rage beautiful works of art can be born and positive activism.” They were keen for the visual identity to offer a fresh and exciting look forward into the next chapter and to feel inspiring and cutting edge.
As a small organisation it was important that I provided a set of assets that they could then use to produce social media posts and other marketing materials in-house. This included creating a set of Canva templates to give them a base to work from.
The festival brand I created uses a mixture of symbols and textures to convey the theme and create a dynamic look and feel. I also designed and managed print and delivery of the festival brochure, an A5 48pp as well as a large print version at A4.
As a Disability arts organisation it is important that everything we produced was accessible. This included considering all fonts, text size and colours.
