The Old Ice Cream Factory

Rick & Trish live in Hull where they have renovated an old ice cream factory into an amazing home. Rick was Artistic Director of the Amy Johnson Festival in Hull and so to further celebrate his love of his home town and it's local hero, Amy Johnson, he asked me to design the large scale fibre glass moth adorning the outside wall. The home sits on the site of a Victorian Botanical garden so the couple wanted the illustration to pay homage to that as well as Amy. I also designed the typography that covers the front gates, influenced by vintage fonts and Trish & Ricks bold colour schemes.
